Christine Sue Grooms

November 1, 1960 – January 4, 2022

Heaven has gained another Angel. Christine Grooms (Chris) age 61, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her own home on January 4, 2022.

Chris was a 1979 graduate of Briggs High School where she was homecoming queen and a 1984 graduate of Southern Ohio College. When she was younger, she took Roller Skating lessons at Skateland, USA, Reynoldsburg and Linden. She competed in Figures, Dance and Freestyle throughout Ohio until her early teenage years. She enjoyed playing piano, writing poems, making homemade cards, music, dancing, watching her boys play football and baseball among many other things. Those who knew Chris will remember her bright beautiful smile and her contagious sense of humor. She loved being the life of the party. Chris loved rooting on the Buckeyes and playing with her Grand dogs Layla and the late Buster (Busta Bus). Family was everything to Chris but her greatest joy were her 3 grandsons.

Chris was the daughter of David H. Grooms. Preceded in death by Mother – Jannette Martin Grooms. Survived by sons – Marc Colborn (Samantha Meadows), and Christopher Grooms (Miranda Minehart). Grandsons – Marc Jr., Mason, and Marshall Colborn. Sisters – Cheryl (Steve) Adams, and Vicki (Rick) Mullen. Nieces – Nina (Fred) Figueroa, and Jenna Adams. Nephews – Michael Ott (Victoria Adams), Ricky Mullen, and Stevie Adams. Great Nieces and Nephews – Jordan Ott, Avery Figueroa, Jameson Figueroa, Annabella Ott, and Eva Pivonka. Special Cousin Connie Evans and many more relatives and friends.

There will be a Private Interment Service at Sunset Cemetery and the family will have a Memorial/”Celebration of Life” at a later date.
