Morris Mack

d. November 25, 2016

Morris Mack (AKA) Morris Harding, Jr. was born to the late Audrey Johnson (Mack) and the late Morris Harding Sr. in Chillicothe, OH.   Morris was the only boy of 2 children born to Audrey.  He lost his sister Linda earlier in life.  Morris parted with this life on November 12, 2016 in Columbus, OH after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Morris spent his childhood years running the country side of Chillicothe and the city streets of Columbus as a youth.  At age 19 he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served two terms in Vietnam; in 1962–68 and also 1968-71.  Honorably discharged Morris returned to civilian life to start a family and began a career as a mechanic.

He began his mechanic career in San Diego, CA after meeting his wife Aundra and having their first child together (Natasha).  Along with a few other careers during the 70’s including driving and running a record shop, Morris traveled back and forth between Ohio and California for over a decade, finally settling in San Diego, CA.

Morris had a career in retail management and maintained his love for cars and mechanics over the years.  He came back to his home in Columbus, OH in 2000 and retired from truck driving around 2009.  In 2015 Morris began to become ill and in January 2016 was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.  He fought a long and hard battle and the Lord saw fit to call him home on November 12, 2016.

Morris leaves behind his wife Aundra Harding (Weeks), five daughters Denise (of Tennessee) Donna (of Louisiana) Natasha (of Columbus) Mashariki (of Columbus) and Maisha (of Columbus). He also leaves an abundance of grand and great-grandchildren and other family whom loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven.  A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to bread down and a time to build up.  A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance…..
