Jason C Davis, age 39, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 21st at home from a massive heart attack.
Jason was born on May 8th, 1980, the 5th child born to Charles and Brenda Davis, in Warren, Ohio. Jason excelled in academics. At the age of 10 he was accepted to Hiram College (Hiram, Ohio) by Gifted Challenge Institute Inc. as a residential student. Jason also attended Wesleyan University (Delaware, Ohio) summer science program for gifted children at the age of 13. Jason spent his junior year of high school in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, as a Rotary exchange student. Jason graduated from Paducah Tilghman High School (Paducah, Kentucky) with honors in 1998. He then was accepted to The Ohio State University honors program and graduated in 2002 with a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in World Studies. Jason went on to achieve a B.B.A. in business administration and a master’s degree in Spanish from Franklin University (Columbus, Ohio). Jason served in The AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteer’s in Service to America), to help alleviate poverty in the Louisville, Kentucky area from 2002 – 2004.
Jason moved to Columbus, Ohio in 2004, there he met his wife Kathy Osbourne. Jason and Kathy were married on February 14th, 2011, in Paducah, Kentucky. Jason was employed at Teleperformance USA/Spoke for the past 15 years. He served as a lead supervisor in the customer service representative department. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. His main hobby was fantasy football. He was a member of the Alpha Psi Lambda fraternity . Jason received numerous Awards for Excellence through the Blue Diamond Club.
Jason is survived by his wife, Kathy Davis, his three sons, Jason C Davis Jr, age 13, Jabin Davis, age 8 and Marlon C Davis, age 6, two stepchildren, Jacklyn Wade , Maleik Howard both of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by his parents Charles and Brenda Davis, of Paducah, Kentucky, seven siblings, Valerie Davis of Paducah, Kentucky, Charles Davis Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, Vanessa Freeman of Columbus, Ohio, Christopher Davis of Paducah, Kentucky, Eleanor Davis of Nashville, Tennessee, VaRetha Davis and Joshua Davis both of Paducah, Kentucky. Also, seven nephews, three nieces, one great niece and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by both sets of grandparents, three uncles, one niece and one first cousin and his best friend/brother-in-law Willie D Freeman II who passed away 04-18-2012.
Jason was a good son, a good husband, a good father and not to leave out a good sibling and friend to many.
Funeral services for Jason C Davis Sr. will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2019 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Shaw-Davis Clintonville Chapel 4341 North High St, Columbus, Ohio 43214. The family will receive guests from 2 pm to 3 pm, with the service beginning at 3 pm.
