Winnie Hiatt

Winnie Hiatt, age 53, of Columbus, OH passed away on Wednesday April 7, 2021. She was born on April 26, 1967 in Rushville, IN to mother Shirley Shifflett.

Winnie is preceded in death by her sister Tammy and mother Shirley. She is survived by her children Jeff, Crystal, and Dallas, grandchildren Thai, Cali, Levi, Cameron, Kami’, O’mari-Lee, Legend and Olivia, sisters Sherry, Susie, and Kellie. As a strong single mother of three, Winnie lived for her children as their biggest cheerleader and supporter. She was faced with every obstacle and reason to give up in life, but she always persevered through resilience and determination. She was one of the hardest working women that many of us will ever know. Being a grandmother was the joy of her life. Winnie had a unique personalized relationship with each of her grandchildren, always making each one of them feel loved. She had a gift of making the little things in life seem special. Her home was always open to anyone who needed advice, conversation, or a shoulder to cry on. Family always came first and if you were lucky enough to know her you were probably considered family.

Service in her remembrance will be held on April 15, 2021 at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214. The family will receive guests between 1 pm and 3 pm.
