Wilma Hinton

Wilma J. Hinton, PE, 71 of North Columbus passed away in the comfortability of her own home on August 29, 2021 from breast cancer. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to William and Rosie Singleton. She attended Linden McKinley High School, 1964-1968. Then she went on to work as a clerk for the Ohio State University for over 20 years. She then transitioned into daycare, where she worked for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for 10 years.

But her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a great and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Services will be held on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N High St., Columbus, Ohio 43214. The family will receive guests from 11 am to noon, with the service beginning at noon. Immediately following the ceremony there will be an interment at Kingwood Memorial Park, Lewis Center, Ohio.
