William A. Southan: William Anthony Southan, age 37, passed away suddenly on January 1, 2021. Born in Columbus, Ohio on January 14, 1983, Will is the beloved son of David and Martha Southan and adored brother of Melissa Southan Wright. Will is also survived by his admired brother-in-law, Scott Wright, precious nephew, Mason, and loving cousins: David Swift, Suzanne Swift-Flack, Deanna Swift Duke, and Steve Swift. Will is a graduate of Our Lady of Peace Catholic School (’97), Bishop Watterson High School (’01), and Hocking Technical College (’03). Will is forever remembered as a remarkably skilled fisherman, adventurous outdoorsman, dedicated friend, loyal OSU football fan, and proud American. It brings the family peace to believe that Will is reunited, in heavenly spirit, with his darling dog, Zeta, going for long walks, admiring golden sunsets over fields of birds, and dreaming of catching big bass. Will’s legacy lives on through his family, especially his Father, Dave, and teen-aged nephew, Mason, who have the privilege and honor to continue Will’s life-long passion for fishing. William, your glowing smile, hard-loving bear hugs, and deep barrel laughs are going to be missed dearly. Rest in Peace, brother.
A Mass intention/offering is scheduled for Sunday, March 25th during the 12pm Mass at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Since a memorial Mass is not being planned, friends and family are welcome to attend to pray for Will and all those whose lives he touched. Please visit https://olp-parish.org/ for information on attendance guidelines. A Celebration of Life event will be held later in the Spring. Details to be shared by Melissa Southan Wright through her FaceBook page. Condolences can be sent to the Southan Family at 4318 Fairoaks Drive, Columbus, OH 43214.
