William Goodwin

William Joseph Goodwin, age 75 sunrise October 4, 1945 and sunset February 1, 2021 departed this life from Ohio West Minister Thurber, 717 Neil Avenue, Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Goodwin Sr. and Magnolia Goodwin, sisters and brother Alberta Pyfrom, Robert Goodwin Jr., and Rose Monford. He leaves to cherish his memories Saundra Goodwin his devoted wife of 49 years, 6 children Bryan (Linda) Frazier, Patricia Cooper, David, Daniel, Lamont, and Jaleigha Goodwin, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. There are 7 brothers and sisters, Ada Bates, Magnolia Edwards, Doris Magwood, Elus Abdul (Shukriyyah) Salaam, Lawrence Goodwin, Barbara (Lawrence) Henderson, and Betty Harrington, and a special sister in law and a true friend Patricia Turner and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. William was a faithful member of Zion Christian Assembly for many years until his health declined. He served under the pastorship of Bishop William M. Polley, until his death, and under the pastorship of Pastor Gerald Collins, the current pastor of ZCA. Private arrangements are under the directions of Shaw-Davis Funeral Home.
