William Henry Evans Jr.

William Henry Evans Jr, 72, of Cable, OH, passed away on January 1^st, 2024 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Westerville, OH.

William, affectionately known as Bill, was born on December 12^th, 1951 to William Sr. and Juanita in Cleveland, OH. William would grow up in Springfield, OH and go on to study in the fields Physical Sciences at the University of Akron and Kent State University.

While pursuing a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Kent State, Bill met Beverly Lewis in Akron, OH. Bill and Beverly would later marry and have two children, William III (born in Akron, OH) and Jessica (born in Palo Alto, CA).

In 2001, after a long tenure at Scotts Lawn Company, Bill would begin growing and selling flower arrangements to local markets and hospitals. He loved to work outdoors, building a house in Cable, OH on a plot of land he purchased in 1999.

Bill was a man of science with a brilliant analytical brain and big heart who loved and cared for his family immensely. He often worked hard sun up to sun down, enjoyed hosting his family and was a lifelong Cleveland sports fan.

Bill was predeceased by his mother Juanita and brother Robert.

 He is survived by Linda (sister), Edith (sister), Jessica (daughter), William (son), Amira (granddaughter), Beverly (partner) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at a private location for close family members. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ACLU, an organization Bill supported and felt strongly about.
