Warren J Smith, age 86, Born Feb 1, 1932 in Lima, OH to his late parents Wilbur and Willeta Smith. Died Nov 24, 2018 in Dublin, OH. Preceded in death by son Christopher Smith, brothers Dave and Roger, sisters Mary and June. Survived by former wife, Barbara Smith; children, Patrick (Carol), Michael (Linda), Alyssa (Charles) Stephens, Victoria (Thomas) Woeste. Also Logan (Kristina) Margulies and Wyatt (Julia) Margulies and their mother, Pam Margulies; daughter-in-law, Grace Smith; grandchildren, Joshua (Amy) Smith, Mackenzie Smith, Joseph Stephens, William Stephens, Courtney Smith, Lauren Woeste and Nathan Woeste, Elena Smith and Ethan Smith; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Alexis, Madeline, Santana, Hendrix, Kennedy, Marley, Alani, Legacy and Eva Lee daughter of Wyatt Margulies. Graduated Lima South High School, The Ohio State University, Class of 1957, The Ohio State University Law School, Class of 1959, Member of the Ohio Bar Association for 59 years, Ohio AFL-CIO Secretary Treasurer 1958-1983, Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University 1975 – 1983; Chairman 1982 – 1983, Director Ohio Department of Transportation 1983 – 1991. Chairman Industrial Commission of Ohio. Then he pursued private practice with Stewart Jaffey and Assc where he retired in 2013. Avid reader, gardener and art collector. Warren loved and enjoyed the Outer Banks with family. Visitation will be held at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES, Clintonville Chapel, 4341 N High St, Cols, OH 43214 on Thurs, Nov 29, 2018 from 6:30-7:30 pm, where his funeral service will follow at 7:30 pm.
