Virginia L. “Ginny” Miller, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2020. She was born on July 22, 1927 as the 5th of 16 children to parents Chester and Sarah Hansel.
Ginny was married to her best friend Merle for 72 years, and the two shared a lifetime of memories. She was a long time employee of Sears, and dedicated 20 years to her career. In high school she was a member of the marching band and was a majorette as well. Ginny was also voted the football homecoming queen during her senior year. She has always enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing card games, and spending as much time as possible with her family.
Left to cherish her memory is husband Merle Miller, son Steve (Cindy) Miller, son Bruce (Beth Everson) Miller, son Jerry (Karen) Miller, daughter Lori (Phil) Urban, sister Beth (Jim) McConaghay, brother Don (Barb) Hansel, sister-in-law Ann Hansel, sister-in-law Shirley Hansel, brother-in-law Paul Bryant, 9 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service in Ginny’s honor will be held on February 29, 2020 from 3-5 pm at Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43235. A private Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date.
