Virginia V. Cross

Virginia V. Cross, 98, of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday January 7, 2024 at her home. She was born May 11, 1925 to the late Virgil R. and Anna (Evans) Mayhugh. Being an honor student of Marysville H.S., she went on to graduate from The Ohio State University in 1947 with a degree in Pharmacy. Virginia loved her work and reluctantly retired at 80 years old. She was a member of Sunbury United Methodist Church. Virginia loved to travel and go camping. She was a great cook, over a campfire or at home with dinner parties for family and friends. She was always up to something and it was always something good! 

Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert (Bob) Cross and her eldest daughter Robin Clayton. She is survived by daughters, Diane Cross and Brenda Greene. Her grandchildren, James (Jimmy) Clayton, Tara Wallace, Tricia Cross-Bryant, and Jennifer Greene. Four great-grandchildren Janie and Emily Clayton, Adam Alwawi, and Andrew Krolik.

Shaw-Davis Funeral Home is handling the cremation arrangements. There will be a "Celebration of Life" held in the Spring. Please check back on this page for the date and time.
