Vickie Lorms
January 15, 1941 — February 24, 2017
Passed away on February 24, 2017 at Kobacker House after a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Born January 15, 1941 to and preceded in death by Richard C. Getreu and Betty J. (Lossie) Getreu.
Graduated from Upper Arlington High School class of 1959. Longtime resident of Clintonville where she and her sister, Betty Lou (Getreu) Ballard who survives her, owned and operated Getreu Cleaners. She had many loyal patrons and friends who could always count on her lending an ear. She had compassion for many and never knew a stranger. Vicki loved to cook, bake and was a wonderful seamstress. Active supporter of Cat Welfare Association and American Cancer Society.
Loving mother of: Larry J. Lorms III and Colleen E. Lorms. Doting, loving grandmother of Alex J. Lorms, Rhemington B. Lorms and Brian P. Lorms. Many nieces and nephews. Also, survived by stepsister Nancy (Coleman) Watson and preceded in death by brother-in-law’s John D. Ballard and Michael Lorms, cousin Ronald Lossie and stepmother Lavetta (Coleman) Getreu and stepbrother Gary Coleman.
Visitation and Services will be held at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 4341 N. High St, Columbus, Ohio 43214 on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm with memorial service at 7:00 pm. Special thanks to Hospice and all the staff at Kobacker House.
