Tony Anchors

Tony R. Anchors, of Sunbury, Ohio, passed away on August 6, 2018 at the age of 77.

Tony was born to parents Joseph and Norma Anchors on April 29, 1941 in Florala, Alabama.  He grew up in Niceville, Florida, the oldest of three siblings. Tony was a paratrooper in the Army.  He spent most of his adult life in Columbus, Ohio.  He had two children with his wife Dee Anchors.

Tony enjoyed life to the fullest.  He had a magnetic personality and was always the life of the party.  His children meant everything to him and he will be remembered for the countless hours spent playing with his kids and his grandson.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Kara Anchors Janson; his son, Daron Anchors; his son-in-law Rick Barnes, his grandson, Simon Janson; his brother, Joseph Anchors; his aunt, Betty Brown; and multiple nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Norma; his sister, Sherry Hord; and his niece, Stacy Hord.

A cremation will take place on August 14,2018.  A memorial service will be held at Ahha Beach at a later date for any who wish to attend.   The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.
