Timothy Shawn “Tim or Timmy” Myers died on March 30, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 32, after a long battle with cancer.
Tim is survived by his wife Tina Myers(Markins), parents John and Rose Myers, brothers Casey, Ben, J.B., Mike, and Dusty.
Tim was born on March 23, 1985 in Athens, Ohio to John and Rose Myers. He graduated high school from Alexander in 2003 and from Hocking College with a degree in art marketing in 2008. He married Tina Markins, in September of 2012. The pair met working at Recreation Unlimited, a camp for individuals with disabilities located in Ashley, Ohio. After moving to Columbus, Tim began working for Goodwill, where he worked with individuals with developmental disabilities and helped to improve their quality of life. He was a passionate advocate for his participants and he will be greatly missed by them and his fellow co workers at Goodwill.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Wednesday, April 5th from 1:00-3:00 pm at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home,
4341 North High St. Columbus, OH. This will be an informal gathering of Tim’s friends to celebrate his life and exchange memories of knowing him.
