Thomas Smith

Thomas Andrew Smith, 49, born Jan. 3, 1968, died peacefully after a long illness Nov. 29, 2017. Preceded in death by father Philip L. Smith, mother Rebecca Sue Kilpatrick (Humphrey), and nephew Philip T. Smith. Survived by sister Leah A. Grubba (Tony), brother Nicholas A. Smith (Katy), nephew Zachery Smith, niece Maranda Grubba, aunt Beth Wahlenmaier (Dick), uncle Steve Smith (Mary) and many cousins and friends. “Big Red” was well-known and loved in the Columbus music community, where he built a career after attending Northland High School, class of 1986. Friends are invited to share their best Tom stories at a Celebration of Life to be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 4341 N. High St. in Clintonville.
