Tarah LaToya Renae Turner, age 33 of Hilliard, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 30, 2018 after an extended struggle with chronic illness. Tarah is survived by her mother, Kate English, father, Perry English, daughter, Tiana English, sister, Amber English, grandmother, Georgianna English, nieces, Ariana and Aliyah English, boyfriend, Ansu Sankoh and many other family members and friends.
Tarah was born on November 26, 1985 in Bloomsburg, PA. She is a graduate of Delaware Christian High School and attended the Ohio State University studying psychology.
Tarah had a passion for reading and creative writing. She was a gifted ballet dancer. She loved nature, horses, butterflies, roses and Reese Cups!
At the early age of 20, Tarah underwent extensive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and was officially diagnosed with Mid-Aortic Syndrome, a rare chronic vascular disease. Through the years she had frequent hospitalizations, but remained hopeful relying on her faith in Jesus. While hospitalized she ministered to many other patients, providing them with Bibles that she had purchased. She touched the lives of all of those around her, “shining bright”, a beacon of hope, love and faith.
Against her physicians’ recommendations, and at risk to her own health, Tarah gave birth to her beautiful daughter, eight-year-old Tiana. Tiana was Tarah’s inspiration and motivation to overcome her illness and create a future for them.
Tarah loved people of all cultures and had a passion for telling others about Christ and His love for them. She always stayed positive and held to her faith through her long battle with her chronic illness and personal adversities. She continued to have faith and set goals even when realistically she couldn’t accomplish them because of her health. She kept fighting her battles for her daughter whom she loved dearly. She is a role model for all of us. She will be greatly missed. Her family and friends will always remember her kind heart and her longing for peace and joy for everyone.
