Tammy Houston

Tammy A. Houston of Columbus, OH passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019. Tammy was born in Charleston, WV on May 10, 1966 but spent the majority of her life in Columbus.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry L. Marselle Sr. and her grandmother Shirley Bailey, with whom she had a special bond.

She is survived by her husband, Nolie Houston; mother Patricia (Riffle) Marselle; daughter Taylour Houston; son, Alex Houston; Grandchildren Shy’Anne Turner and Liam Houston; brother Jerry (Erica) Marselle; grandfather Arlin Bailey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom Tammy loved dearly.

Tammy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, doing everything she could to take care of her family and help in any way she could. Coming from a family with a strong musical tradition, she had a beautiful voice and grew up singing while her father played the guitar.

Tammy was baptized as a member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses when she was a teenager. She always remained hopeful in the Bible’s promise of being reunited with us again in a peaceful New World where there will be no more tears, sickness, pain, suffering, or death.
