Tami Thornburg

Tami Thornburg passed away in Columbus, Ohio on June 27, 2018. Tami was born on March 1, 1959 in Richmond, Indiana.  She graduated from Lima Central High School in 1977. Tami went on to earn a degree from the University of Miami (Ohio) 1981 and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky.  She was employed by the state of Ohio for 30 years doing what she loved – serving others. She retired in 2016.

Tami was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Della Thornburg of Richmond.  She is survived by her brother Rick Thornburg (Susan) of Indianapolis, niece Ashley Thornburg of Indianapolis, nephew Colin Thornburg (Tara) of Indianapolis, a great niece, Lilly, a great nephew, Luke, her beloved godmother, Sue Kinsey (Jim) of Richmond and many good friends whom she adored.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Shaw–Davis Funeral Home in Columbus. A memorial Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Richmond at a later date.

Charitable donations can be made in Tami’s memory to the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) or the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center.
