Taylor, Susan Elaine, of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly November 10, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Ohio June 6, 1961 to the late Robert S. Taylor and Pauline (Shields) Vernon.
In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her step-father, Jerry C. Vernon and her former husband Daniel D. Smith. Susan is survived by her former husband Cliff J. Morton; son Clifford Morton; daughters Danielle Smith (Drew West) and Monica Smith; sisters Bonnie (Nick) Smith, Connie (Taylor) Johnson, Deanna (Joe) Marshall, and Linda (Dave) Van Pelt; her grandchildren Mya, Chloe, and Morrison; nieces Erin Marshall, Caroline (Wesley) Shults; great-nephew Conrad Shults; along with uncles and aunts, Elton and Wanda Defenbaugh, Larry and Alice Smith; special friend John Snyder; as well as many cousins.
A graduate of Grandview Heights High School, Susan was a dreamer, sharing that she had always aspired to become an astronaut or a professional volleyball player. She was passionate about music and space exploration and deeply adored dolphins and penguins. Susan passed her appreciation of music to her children. “Love you to the moon and back!”
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Home, 4341 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio from 1 to 3 p.m.
Private family interment will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Homeless at www.fohcolumbus.com
