Stephen Ashcroft

Stephen Edward Ashcroft, 46, of Malta, and formerly of Gowanda, NY, passed away after an extended illness on Monday, May 7, 2018, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, OH.

He was born Aug. 5, 1971, in Mt. Gilead, OH, to Stephen H. Ashcroft and the late Marsha J. (Ashcroft) Elkins.

Steve loved his family and friends, cooking, hunting, and his Ohio State Buckeyes. He had a passion for Jesus and was working on becoming a chaplain.

Left to mourn his loss, but rejoice in the knowledge that he is in his heavenly home, are his father, Stephen (Kristy) Ashcroft of Perrysburg, NY; his sisters, Cynthia Raver and Brenda (Brian) Moellendick of Belpre, OH; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marsha (Ashcroft) Elkins; and his sister, Kiawona Ashcroft.

A Memorial Service will be held at his church, Porterfield Baptist Church, 39 Hollywood Drive, Little Hocking, OH, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
