Stacy Allen Lane, originally from Columbus Ohio moved to Carroll Ohio, and later to Lancaster Ohio where he lived the remaining years of his life. He went home to be with the Lord on April 7th, 2023 after a long battle with diabetes and later congestive heart failure. Stacy was born on March 19th, 1970. He had just celebrated his 53rd birthday surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father Herb Lane, his mother Carol Lane, and his brothers Jim Lane and Doug Grashel.
He is survived by his sisters, Vicki Davis of Centerburg, Ohio, Virginia McCrary of Delaware, Ohio, and his brother, George Grashel, of Columbus, Ohio, along with many nieces and nephews and precious family, chosen, not by blood. Stacy knew and loved Jesus Christ as his personal savior.
He earned his bachelor's degree in business development at Ohio Christian University. He was a hard worker. He worked for many years at DSW, DHL, and part-time at Kraft and Build-a-Bear. He made many good friends throughout his career. He completed and won the title for the DSW Forklift Rodeo Championship, a statewide company forklift obstacle course, that was great fun and an honor that he enjoyed with pride! It was at DSW that he met his very best friend, Doug Hill, who has been the definition of a faithful friend and brother in Christ to the very end. Not only to Stacy but to his family as well. Along with Doug's mother, Ann Hill, also known by Stacy as, "Momma Hill." Stacy loved the people in his life and prayed for them often. If you have been one of them, you are blessed. And you are invited to join us for a celebration and memorial of his life. We will gather for a potluck, family-style cookout at Big Meadows Picnic Shelter on Saturday, August 5th, from 12:00 to 2:00. The shelter is located at the back of Highbanks Metro Park. A prayer from "Momma Hill"
Gracious lord, look with Mercy on Stacy Lane whom you have called from our home and our hearts. May he enter the embrace of your faithful and everlasting Love in heaven. Eternal rest grant to him, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
