Sherry Valentine

VALENTINE

Sherry Lynn (Weilbacher) Valentine age 60 of Columbus, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2017 near her residence. Sherry was born on December 21, 1956 to Richard & Faye Weilbacher. A lifetime resident of Columbus, she was a 1974 graduate of Marion-Franklin High School. She was a member of the United States Army National Guard Reserves. She attended Columbus State Community college pursuing a degree in Chemical Dependency and Mental Illness, causes near and dear to her heart. The highlight of her working career was in this field of work at Steven's House, for teens battling addiction and working towards recovery. Sherry loved music, especially old rock and country. She treasured the good times with family and friends. She loved to laugh. We would like to give special acknowledgement and thanks to the friends and support she gained while attending Alcoholics Anonymous  meetings especially at the Plug in the Jug. Sherry is survived by her children Melissa (Chad) Valentine Snider, Stacy Powers and Andrew Powers all of Columbus, Ohio. Grandchildren Allison, Matlyn, Chelsea, Joely & Kayden Snider and Kyle & Aiden Smith. Her siblings Debbie Marshall, Tony Weilbacher, Robbie Weilbacher, John Weilbacher and Tommy Weilbacher. Many nieces and nephews as well. Proceeded in death by her life companion Rick Powers; granddaughter Graceyn Snider and her parents Rich & Faye Weilbacher. A private memorial will be held on Saturday March 25, 2017 from 4-6 p.m. at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene, 4770 Hoover Road, Grove City, Ohio 43123.
