Sharon L Wood

Sharon Lynn Wood (Irish) went to be with the Lord November 28th of 2023 just shy of her 68th birthday. She was an amazing mother to her children and a loving, present grandmother to her grandchildren. Sharon is survived by her brother, Doug Irish, and his wife, Laura Irish; her daughter, Tiana, and husband, Michael; her son, Tony, and wife, Lindsay; her son, TJ, and wife, Tupe; and her grandchildren (Gabriel, Cadence, Brayden, Tracen, Limogi, Mason, Ronisa, Skylei, and Christiana). 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wood, and her parents, Charles and Margaret Irish. Sharon was a devoted Christian, a dedicated educator, and selfless servant to the communities she was involved with. She impacted countless lives throughout her many endeavors. She attended Hudson High School and graduated with a Bachelor’s in education from Bluffton College. She devoted her life to teaching and didn’t meet a child she wasn’t moved to help. Regardless of her residence, she could be found in church every Sunday.

A witness to the resurrection and a celebration of Sharon's life will be held on December 15th at 11 am at North Springfield Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held before the service at 10 am. A luncheon in the fellowship hall will follow the conclusion of the services.
