Scott David Hutson passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at home surrounded by his family and friends.  He was born January 12, 1957 in Peoria, Illinois to the late George M. and Florence V. (Beyer) Hutson and is preceded in death by his brothers Gary L. Hutson, Donald E. Hutson, Sister Joyce Cullum and Father-in-Law John H. MacKenzie.  Scott was a loving and dedicated husband to the love of his life of nearly 35 years, Cynthia (MacKenzie) Hutson; and was a devoted father to his daughter MacKenzie Hutson and his son Garrett Hutson.  Scott is survived by two brothers; Mike and Steven; five sisters, Janet Roou, Julie Gallagher, JoAnn Klaus, Jill Johnson, and Jackie Polley.  His Mother-in-Law Averil MacKenzie; Mother and Father-in-Law Betty and Tom Flanigan; Sisters-in-Law; Donna Pierson, and Rebecca Collins; Brothers-in-Law; John MacKenzie, and David (Eryka) MacKenzie. Scott served in the Air Force for over 4 years in the field of Logistics and Command. He graduated from Barrington University with a Bachelor of Science in E Commerce.  Scott was an IT expert and was always on the leading edge of technology holding many positions that required the smartest and most up to date individual.  Scott loved sports especially his Ohio teams, and loved cheering them on with his children whenever possible.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday September 17, 2017 in the sanctuary of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St, Grove City, OH.  In lieu of flowers the family request contributions in Scott’s memory be made to “Adopt a Family”, St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
