Sandra "Sandy" Goldberg

Sandra “Sandy” Goldberg (Fulton/Dorsey), 65, of St. Clairsville, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Riverside Methodist hospital, Columbus, OH.

She was born in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late William and Alice Fulton.

Sandy will be fondly remembered as a hard worker, achiever, and someone with both a strong personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Sandy started her career as one of the first female coal miners at Shoemaker Mine in 1979 and later with Windsor Coal. She worked her way up into various safety and consulting roles at AEP, where she retired in 2009. She loved being outside, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an adventurous soul as she has both flew and jumped out of planes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Goldberg and sister, Jean Funkhouser.

Loving mother of Rob (Danielle) Dorsey.  Proud grandmother of Rob, Kristopher, and Kaylee Dorsey.  Devoted sister of Rebecca (Brad) Wilson, Mary ”Peg” (Roger) Shunk, Carolyn (Ken) Jones, Ruth Stewart, Connie (Scott) Back, Charles (Nancy) Fulton, and Richard Funkhouser.  Further survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Sandy’s life on June 12th from 1-3pm at 52119 Barton Crescent Rd, Barton, OH 43905.
