Samuel Westlake

SAMUEL ROSS WESTLAKE, 34, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 16, 2019.  He was born and raised in Marysville, Ohio and graduated from Marysville High School in 2003 before moving to Columbus.  Sam was a talented chef and rising star in culinary field, working alongside some of the best chefs in the area.  He was a diehard Ohio State fan and took every opportunity to see a game at The Horseshoe with his brother, cousin or friends.  Sam is preceded in death by his mother, Tina Jeffrey Parr, and grandparents Troy & Ruth Jeffrey and George & Phyllis Westlake.  He is survived by his father, Michael Westlake, brother Zachary (Sarah) Westlake, niece Amelia Westlake, second parents Kristen & Jim “Floyd” Smith, beloved aunts and uncles including Mike, Cheryl, Jill, Cindy, Jackie, Amy and Greg, and cousins Cassie, Adam, Sarah, Guy, Frank, Courtney, Christopher, Nicki, Chris, Megan, Dean, Jeremiah and Samantha.  Sam also leaves behind countless friends and coworkers who join the family in celebrating his life and forever treasuring his laughter, talents, stories, adventures and companionship.  Private memorials will be held in both Marysville, Ohio and Chapmanville, West Virginia.
