Our dear mother Sally Cammarata sadly passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 80 in Columbus, Ohio. Born to Frank and Delores DeAngelo on October 28, 1943 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was always there when we needed her most, offering support, wisdom and love.
Sally was raised in Hostetter, Pennsylvania and moved to Washington D.C. after high school, working for the United States Navy and The Library of Congress. After moving back to Pennsylvania she was married to Frank A. Cammarata III. With Frank in the military, Sally traveled around the world to places such as Saudi Arabia and Japan.
Sally retired from the State of Ohio Medical Board in 2008. Sally’s love extended to her four children, Frank (Missi) Dawn, Dan (Betsy), and Nikki who remember her as a loving, caring, accepting and generous mother. Her five grandchildren, Kayla, Kelsi, Karlee, Ben, and Clive-Elios will carry her legacy of kindness.
A master of jigsaw puzzles and coloring books, Sally also enjoyed lottery scratchers and spoiling her 5 great-grandchildren, Sadie, Paislee, Reign, Emmie, and Colt. Sally was a woman of deep personal faith, with the biggest charitable heart. She will be missed every day, but her spirit will watch over and guide her family as they continue on, carrying her always in their hearts.
