Ruth Diewald

Ruth Marie Diewald, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 23, 2024, at Wesley Glen in Columbus.  She was born on January 19, 1938 in Marysville Ohio.

Ruth’s true joy came from spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Ruth had a kind and nurturing spirit that radiated warmth to all who were fortunate enough to know her.  She was an avid lover of dogs and birds.  Especially her dogs Charlie and Molly.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking and going out to dinner.

She is survived by her son Ron Diewald Jr., daughter Katherine Diewald, grandchildren Jeannie Kreitzer (Brian), Lindsay Pangborn (Corey), Valerie Hammond (Kyle) and 6 great grandchildren and extended family.  Ruth’s legacy lives on through each of them as they carry forward the love and values she instilled in them.

Ruth is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ron Diewald Sr. 

Ruth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May she rest in peace knowing God’s love and all the love that surrounded her.

The celebration of life will be held on May 19 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at the clubhouse at Worthington Crossing on Lazelle Rd. in Columbus, OH.  Please join us as we celebrate her life and share memories with each other.
