Roy Vaught Sr.

Roy E. Vaught Sr, 76, passed away at Drs West Hospital March 3, 2022 after a short lived, hard fought bought with cancer. He was born on June 22, 1945 in Columbus. He retired from Rich’s Bakery. Roy loved all and was loved by all! He loved getting together with family, especially for cookouts & horseshoes. He loved his van and working on cars. Roy’s favorite things in life were fishing at Hargus Lake, listening to music, sitting on the back porch in the spring/summer. Most of all he was jokester and cracked jokes every time you were around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Vaught & Norma Kreemer. Brothers Charles & Dan Vaught, and sister Judy Ledford. He is also preceded in death by his daughter Rebecca Miller.

Roy is survived by his wife Patty & beloved dog Angel, his sons Roy Jr and Brady (Heather) Vaught, his stepchildren Pam (Rick) Shafer, John Kairis, Michelle (Brad) Miller, Cheryl Payne (Jeff Conkel) & Mike Kairis. Also survived by brothers Albert (Sharon) & Bob (Debbie) Vaught, and sisters Jerry (Ron) Sarnes & Brenda (David) Morris. Lot’s of nieces and nephews, many grandchildren & many more great grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life at Hargus Lake TBD in the warmer weather
