Ronald E. “Tiny” Butcher of Columbus, Ohio passed away surrounded by his loved ones on November 29, 2020, after a long fight with cancer. He was born on February 16, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents William and Jane Butcher. He was a 1969 graduate of Columbus North High School, and was very involved in planning their 50th reunion. Tiny was an AVID fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and longtime stock car owner, racer, and enthusiast. He also enjoyed working out in the yard and spending time on woodworking projects.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Tom “Red” Williams, and his beloved black cocker spaniel Midnight. Ronald is survived by his son Chad Butcher, sister Patsy (Richard) Bammer, sister Lona Chapman, grandson Evan Butcher, nieces and nephews Heather (Todd) Hanks, Angie (Jeffrey) Holmes, Jason (Mandy) Chapman, and Justin (Ashlie) Chapman, many great-nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.
Services in Ronald’s honor will be held on Thursday December 10, 2020 at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes Clintonville Chapel, 4341 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. The family will receive guests from 5 pm to 7 pm. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions the number in attendance will be limited to 40 people; masks and social distancing will be required while visiting the funeral home.
