Ron Peebles

Ronald G. "Ron" Peebles, age 82 of Columbus, passed away at Columbus Alzheimers Care Center on Sunday December 25, 2016. Ron was born July 11,1934 to the late Robert and Beatrice Peebles. He Married Virginia A. Dunham on August 20,1954 whom he met while training as an X-Ray technician and she as a secretary for the Tuberculosis Society. Ron was a salesman for the Pennington Bread Company and later as a Zone Manager for the Keebler Company and retired from the Kellogg Company. Ron loved music, dancing, bowling, and weekends playing cards with family. Some of his favorite times were spending summers as a child with his Grandparents(Mom and Dad Fitch) in Chesterhills, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Beatrice. Ron is survived by his loving wife Virginia(Ginny) Peebles, his brother Ed(Butch) Berry of New Lexington, Ohio, son Michael(Cris) Peebles of Pataskala, daughters Susan(Mike) O'Farrell of Sunbury, Michele(Tim) Loney of Westerville, and Cherise(Pat) Johnson of Baltimore. Grandsons Joshua Peebles, Shane O'Farrell, Seth and Caleb Korzenborn, Adin Johnson, Granddaughters Sarah Loney, Ashley(Billy) Brubaker, Kelsey(Jamie)Mayes and Israelle Johnson, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.  His wife would like to thank the staff at Columbus Alzheimers Care Center for their excellent care, kindness, and compassion.  Family will receive friends Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 2:00- 4:00 p.m. with a service at 3:00 p.m. at the Shaw Davis Funeral Home, 4341 North High St., Columbus, Ohio. A buffet will follow at the family residence. Private burial at a later date.
