Rodney Cannon, 53, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 12:08 a.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Rodney was born July 6, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan to loving parents Annie Marie Marshall and Johnnie Cannon. Growing up in Saginaw, Michigan, Rodney helped to raise many of his young relatives and was a rock for his family. Rodney loved to cook, sing gospel hymns, and make jokes with his loved ones. Rodney had a loving, caring, and compassionate heart. He never turned anyone away and could quickly befriend all he met with his infectious smile and love for life.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents Annie and Johnnie; grandparents Odessa & Thomas Marshall and Jack & Nelly Cannon; and Godsister Renea Hatchett.
Rodney is survived by his loving wife Danielle Cannon; children Rodney, André & Jayden; grandchildren Delonte, Londyn, Kayla and De-Rion; siblings Kimberly, Ebony and Erica (Tony), Curtis (Melissa), Vincent, Kenneth (Jolanda); Godsister Gail Rogan; parents-in-law Melvin & Donna Hawkins; special cousins Steven, Dawn & Bethany; best friends Calvin Skinner and Dexter Thomas; and many other family members and friends both young and old.
Celebration of life will be at Worthington Town Hall’s Griswold Center (777 N. High St, Worthington, OH 43085) Aug 14, 2021 2-4p.
