Robert Williamson

Robert (Bob, Bobby) B. Williamson passed away surrounded by his loved ones on January 29, 2024 after a courageous fight against pancreatic cancer.  Born in Columbus, OH on November 28, 1982, he grew up in Westerville, OH and remained there his entire life.   He poured his heart and soul into his successful Westerville business, Cardinal Pizza, while working tirelessly to help shape Uptown Westerville into a thriving community.   His passion was food and that included everything from his amazing pizza to gourmet meals. Truly a master of his craft, Bobby could create a magnificent dining experience out of the most basic ingredients.

While we will certainly miss his culinary skills, what we will miss most is his outsized personality, a beautiful warm smile, the incredible laugh, his love for his family and friends and people in general.  He was known for his generosity and always helping those in need—whether it be through providing a place of employment or just an ear for listening.   

Bob was active in the community supporting the local schools and promoting businesses in the area by serving on the Uptown Westerville board. He loved everything about Westerville.

Bob was a beloved son, husband, dad, brother, Uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife Melissa Williamson and stepson Dimetrius Saylor, mom Mary (Mike) Gray, sister Jenny (Roger) Mangham, niece Isabelle, nephews Cooper & Teddy Mangham, brother Nick (Mary Anne) Williamson, nieces Hayley and Amelia Williamson, nephew Noah Williamson and many other family and friends who cared for him dearly.

The family is asking that you attend in comfortable attire—casual is fine—and to wear something colorful as part of your attire as opposed to all black. If you have anything red to add to represent Cardinal Pizza—we know he would love that. Bobby wanted his life celebrated and happy colors provide a great backdrop to the celebration.
