Robert (Bob) C. Porter Sr., peacefully passed away on December 3rd, 2024, with his loving wife Pam by his side. Born on January 21, 1936, in West Jefferson, North Carolina, Bob's journey through life was marked by hard work, compassion and a commitment to his family and his craft. Bob was well-known as the Founder and President of Porter Drywall Inc., a company he led passionately for over 60 years. He recognized that his employees were the heart of the business, prioritizing their happiness and well-being throughout his career. His leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on countless individuals, shaping the lives of those who had the privilege to work with him.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bob proudly served in the Army in Korea, demonstrating unwavering patriotism and commitment to his country. His life was not only defined by his work but also by the joy he found in exploring the world. Together with his wife Pam, he embraced adventure, traveling extensively and creating cherished memories.

Bob was a hard worker, but he also valued the importance of leisure, enjoying fishing whenever he could carve out time from his busy schedule. His zest for life was evident in all that he undertook, whether at work or pursuing his hobbies.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Porter; his children Robert Porter Jr. (Judy) and Alicia Porter; his grandchildren, Brooke, Amanda, and Sabrina; and his faithful Cavalier King Charles companion Tilly. Bob also leaves behind Sharon Six and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Thad Porter; his mother, Violia Porter; his step-son, Shannon C. Boston; as well as three brothers and one sister, all of whom he held dear in his heart.

A visitation to honor the life of Bob Porter will take place on Sunday December 15th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at Genoa Church located at 7562 Lewis Center Rd, Westerville, OH 43082, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Pastor Frank Carl to officiate.

Bob will be remembered not just for his accomplishments, but for the warmth he brought to those around him. His legacy of love, hard work, and dedication to family and friends will forever be etched in the hearts of all who knew him. Bob loved his church and the members apart of it; any donations in his memory can go to Genoa Church.
