Robert Krieger

Robert Krieger, age 86, born October 16, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Elsie (Bergmann) Krieger. Married Nancy C. Roberts on November 12, 1957 at Grace Methodist Church in Zanesville, Ohio. Graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Commerce; the transportation school of United States Army. Was a member of the US Army as a 1st Lt. Officer from October 1953 to October 1955, awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Army of Occupation Medal (Germany). Employed with Mutual of New York (MONY), Woodbury Financial Group and Queens/Bates, awarded the National salesman of the year. Longtime resident of Columbus and Worthington, Ohio for over 40 years. He enjoyed hobbies including golf (member of South High School Golf Team), tennis, long time and dedicated OSU Buckeye fan (attended 1950 Snow Bowl). He also loved baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals. Charitable, religious, fraternal – 40-year member and usher of Worthington United Methodist Church , member of the Capital City Masonic Lodge #656, Shiner/Flag Guard, and member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity. Survived by his wife Nancy C. Krieger; children Timothy C. (Suzanne) Krieger and Elizabeth A. Krieger;  grandchildren  Alexandria (Allie) B. Krieger, Brad B. Krieger. Preceded in death by son, Richard J. Family will receive friends on Thursday March 15, 2018 from 10 - 11am at The Worthington United Methodist Church 600 High St. Worthington, Ohio 43085 where funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment Union Cemetery.
