Robert Ellis

Robert Earl Ellis “Bob” passed away peacefully 1/15/19 at Worthington Christian Village.  He was born in Portsmouth, OH and Graduated from Wheelersburg High School and Ohio State University in Electrical Engineering.  He served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician in WWII.

He and Charlene were married 68 years and were active members of Beechwold Christian Church in Friendship Class, Senior Group and Grow Groups. He loved to Golf, watch OSU Football and Basketball and was an active member of the MMMDCX Stock Club.

He is preceded in death by his wife Esther Charlene Ellis, parents Harry S. and Nannie Ellis, His brother Donnie B. Ellis (Carolyn) , Half sisters Maudine, Mayme, Marcella and Half brother Mark McCown ; Brother-in-law Homer Hobson (Marvalene), Niece Barb Nibert and Brother-in-law Jack Hobson.

He is survived by his son Robert S. Ellis, Daughter Kathy Bonnette (Steve),  Grandaughter Kristin Bonnette, Sister-in-law Nancy Hobson of FL and many nieces and nephews from the Ellis and Hobson Families.

Family and Friends will be received on January 22nd. from 10am-12pm with Service at 12pm at SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME  4341 North High Street, Columbus, OH 43214.  Refreshments to follow service.   In Lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Worthington Christian Village and Kindred Hospice.
