Robert “Bob” W. Crosby Jr, 78, passed away May 17 at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio. He was born June 28, 1937 in Seymour, Indiana, to Marion Kelow and the Rev. Robert W. Crosby. He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Wells Crosby; sons, Alan Robert, Edward Wells, and William John; brother, John and his wife Susan; nephews, James, Charlie, Thomas McKean and niece, Mary McKean Torok. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Elizabeth; sister, Abigail and her husband Robert E. McKean. Bob graduated in 1962 from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He met his wife of 51 years in 1964 at Lazarus West, where they both worked. They were married on March 16, 1965 at Columbia Heights Methodist Church. Bob was a civil servant to the City of Columbus, Franklin County, and state of Ohio. He was a dedicated volunteer for the Democratic Party and served on the Franklin County Central Committee for over 40 years. Family will receive friends at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N. High Street, Columbus, on Monday, May 23rd with a greeting at 2pm, service at 3pm and reception following.
