Robert Lewis Cochran Sr. of Pickerington, OH, formerly of Williamstown, KY, and Ludlow, KY reunited with the love of his life on Wednesday, January 25TH, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Robert was a devoted husband and loving father. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Claire Creager January 7, 1959. He joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17, and after his enlistment joined the Norfolk Southern Railway , where he worked for 39 years as a brakeman and engineer.
Robert loved horses; he enjoyed riding and training them, entering them in horse shows, or even just watching the competitions. He also enjoyed playing cards with his siblings, his children, or anyone that would play Euchre with him. He especially enjoyed long drives with his wife, looking at the trees as the leaves changed color in the Fall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bertrenia Cochran, his loving wife of 46 years, Charlotte Cochran, and his two sons Charles Cochran and Robert Cochran Jr.
He is survived by his two brothers Joseph (Nora) Cochran of Carmel, Indiana, Ronald (Brenda) Cochran of Erlanger, Kentucky, and his sister Connie (Bruce) Werner of Ludlow, Kentucky; his six daughters, Kimberly Gale Bell Taylor of Ludlow, Kentucky, Linda Corinne (William) O'Banion of Demossville, Kentucky, Sandra Jane (Toby) Early of Florida, Tina Marie (Robert Jr.) Cochran of Vilas, North Carolina, Suzanne Nadine (Bo) Coleman of Pickerington, Ohio, and Bobbie Jo Johnson of Pickerington, Ohio; his 15 grandchildren, Edward (Susan) Bell II, Patricia Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Craig (Tara) O'Banion, Darlene (Glen) Williams, Amanda (Allen) Baker, Karissa (Anthony) Hartsell, Emmy Jo (Levi) Isaac, Toby (Kara)Early Jr., Autumn Cochran, SGT. Robert Michael Cochran, Zachary Hudson, Julia Hudson, Coreem Johnson, Ethan Johnson; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jasmine, William, Justin, Chloe, Houston, Ally, Lukas, Anaya, Brylee, Cole, and Jake. Robert was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend to all.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February, 4TH, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with services to follow at the Floral Hills Funeral Home, 5336 Old Taylor Mill Rd., Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
