Richard L. Smith, age 74, passed away March 24, 2015, Columbus, surrounded by family.  Preceded in death by wife Judy E. Smith, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Gloria Smith, brother-in-law Jay Carr, and sister-in-law Roxie Roberts.  Survived by daughters Kelly Smith (Tuttle), Kristin Smith (Steve Scarbrough) and Kerry Smith (Chris Phillips); grandchildren Byron (Edward Searle), Katie, Ben (Veronica Weber) and Spencer Tuttle; loving companion Jill Trosin, brother George (Barbara) Smith; sister-in-law Helen Carr; and many nieces and nephews.  1958 graduate of Columbus North High School and remained active in the Polar Bear Club.  Dick was past president of Mortgage Bankers Assn., Certified Public Accountants Assn., retired from National City Bank.  Dick had a passion for his dogs and his vacation home in Lake Erie.  He volunteered often, sending care packages to troops overseas.  He loved being outdoors, was physically active and enjoyed traveling.  Dick was loving and caring beyond words.  He lived life to the fullest, was loved by so many and touched each life with his wonderful personality and sense of humor.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Stroke Assn.  Calling hours Friday March 27, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at THE SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME CLINTONVILLE CHAPEL, 4341 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 11:30 am at the BEECHWOLD CHURCH OF CHRIST, 280 Morse Rd., Columbus, OH 43214.
