Richard E. (Dick) Sloan

Richard E. (Dick) Sloan, 86, of Columbus, passed away December 8, 2024. Born on March 28, 1938, in Lima, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl and Dortha Sloan. Dick was a 1956 graduate from Galion High School. He retired with 35 years of service from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Fleet Management. Dick volunteered for many years at the Pickerington Food Pantry and belonged to Asbury South United Methodist Church. Dick was preceded in death by sister Carol and daughter Janel. Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Susan; sister Diane; daughters LeAnn (Dean) and Terri (Patrick); sons Mark (Lindsey) and Michael (Bobbi); grandchildren Danielle, Nick, Renee, Katie, Stephanie, Shawn, David, Caleb, and Michael Jr. Dick had many great-grandchildren, friends and family.

A memorial service will be held on December 18th, 2024 at 11am at the Asbury South United Methodist Church, 4760 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232.
