Richard Lincoln "Dick" Marrah, age 82, of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2016. His passion in life was family and he exemplified putting family first. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Dick proudly served in the U.S. Army and was an amazing and trusted salesman for his career. Active in his churches, most recently as a member of Meadow Park Church of God, he never met a stranger and always helped those in need. Dick was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and any team for which his children or grandchildren played or cheered. He was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Mary (Faudree) Marrah and siblings Lt. James Marrah, William Marrah, Florence Swyers, Marianne Flynn and John Marrah. Dick is survived by the love of his life, Patricia Gerber Marrah; beloved sons, Rick (Denise) Marrah, Douglas (Jennifer) Marrah and Scott (Molly) Marrah; and cherished grandchildren, Brittany, Ashley, Michelle, Douglas Jr. "DJ," Michael, Grant, Kaitlyn, Amanda, Laine, Elise and Jack Marrah and Alexa and Connor Burke. He is also survived by brother, Robert (Jayne) Marrah; sisters-in-law, Gertrude and Priscilla Marrah; and numerous nieces and nephews (each of whom was his favorite). He had a large and loving extended family, particularly close through the years to the Rabold family, special friends Bob Stonecypher and Jerry Baldwin, and many other wonderful friends. The family would appreciate donations to Tree of Life Christian Schools Scholarship Fund, 935 Northridge Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43224 or Meadow Park Church of God, 2425 Bethel Rd., Columbus, OH 43220. Calling hours will be from 12 noon-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, 4341 N. High St., Columbus, Oh 43214.
