Rick “Pretty Ricky” Lang of Dublin, Ohio, passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital with his wife and family by his side on March 4, 2024 at the age of 69.
Rick was born in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended high school and left home soon after to serve in the United States Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Rick attended Wilmington College and graduated summa cum laude with an associates degree in social work. He worked a variety of jobs, but some of his favorites were working at the lumber yard, driving trucks, and service advisor & porter at Buckeye Nissan in Hilliard, Ohio.
Rick had an amazing sense of humor and often thought he should go try his storytelling at a stand up comedy venue. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, tinkering with cars, listening to rock n roll music, and visiting with family and friends.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Leona (Crupp) Lang, his brother, Russell Lang, and his daughter, Melissa Lang. He is survived by his wife, Danette (Parker) Lang, son, Joseph Lang, daughter, Katelyn Lang, grandsons, Theodore Lang and Eric Clary Jr., granddaughters, Sierra (Lang) West and Nianna Lang, great grandson, Ezekiel West, stepkids, Ian and Allison Kuhl, sister-in-law, Cheri Derwant-Lang, and his many nieces, nephews, friends, and his loving dog, Baxter.
We would like to thank all who have already shared their condolences and been such a great support system during this difficult time.
