Richard Helton

Richard (Dick) Eugene Helton, age 92, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022. Born September 13, 1929 in Falls City, Nebraska. He was a resident of Johnstown, Ohio. Korean War Veteran. Retired from US Army with 20 years, 7 months and 9 days of service. Served from 1947-1950 as an Honor Guard for General McArthur. Retired from Mason Supply Company. Member of First Baptist Church of Gahanna.

Preceded in death by parents Cecil R. and Ella D. Helton; wives Gerda and Ethel; brothers Jack, Joe, Bill, Mike and Elmer; daughters Gale, Rena, Donna.

He is survived by children Mike Helton, Patty (Ron) Looker, Carol (Jim) Miles; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday, January 14 from 10 to 11 am at First Baptist Church of Gahanna 520 Havens Corners Rd Gahanna 43230, where funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment Mifflin Twp. Cemetery. Services by Shaw-Davis Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to First Baptist Church of Gahanna.
