Rebecca Swaney

Rebecca Kathleen Swaney, of Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully at Kobacker House on September 28th 2018 at the age of 60 following a brief and intense battle with cancer.

Becky, as known by friends and family, was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother; always making time to be with family and quick with a joke to raise the spirits of those around her. She was an avid sports enthusiast and loved working in her patio garden. Becky was a compassionate soul; as showcased throughout her life as a respiratory therapist, physical therapy assistant and her work with the developmentally disabled.

She will live on in the hearts of her children; Christopher (Melissa) Sweet, Jamie (Kenny) Bruce, Justin Sweet and Jordan Sweet as well as her beloved grandchildren Kendyl and Kolsten Bruce and partner Mechelle Mayesky. She will also be fondly remembered by her siblings Michael and Roberta Swaney as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends Tuesday October 2nd at Shaw Davis Funeral Home 4341 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214. Visitation is 10:30 – 11:30am where funeral services will start at 11:30am. Graveside service to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
