Philip Leighton Judy, 57, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Phil was born on May 27, 1966, to parents Nancy and David, in Columbus, Ohio. Phil was a 1984 graduate of Beechcroft High School. Phil's biggest passion was any activity involving his kids. He particularly loved coaching their softball, baseball, football, and basketball teams when they were young. He coached and watched them play countless games and musical events with tremendous pride and enthusiasm. At church, Phil also found great joy in singing with the praise team, directing the children’s choir, and assisting with the church Christmas pageant. Phil loved all things sports, playing, watching, attending, listening, and talking about sports. He loved his Buckeyes the most. Phil also cherished having his two cats, Oscar and Lola, by his side.
Phil was preceded in death by his mother Nancy Westervelt, and his father David Judy. He leaves behind his daughter Olivia Judy, son Jackson Judy, sister Melissa (Shawn) Fletcher, Nephew Luke Smith, Lora Baeumel, brothers in friendship, Chuck Alitzer and John Mathew, and countless friends from school, work, and church.
