Philip Drescher Johnston, 82, passed away on April 4, 2016 in Columbus, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Cuba (Davis) Johnston; his sister, Edith “Susie” Johnston; and his grandmother, Margaret VonHo. He is survived by his ex-wife, Joan Marie Johnston; his children, Marc (Patti) Johnston, Michael Johnston, and Michelle (Michael) Ulery; his siblings, Kenneth (Pat) Johnston, Bonny Johnston, Russell (Carol) Johnston; his grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica (Gary), Nicolas, Ryan, Brittany (Jacob), Gabriel, Lauren, Holden; his great-grandchildren, Mia, Cadence, Charlotte. He is member of the Deaf Club. He loved his boat, which he used to sail on Buckeye Lake. His favorite animal was the mallard duck. Services will be held at THE SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES (Victorian Village Chapel) on 34 West 2nd Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43201, on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11:00 am. Family will receive friends an hour prior. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his honor.
