Peggy L. Bowers, age 73, Born October 13, 1943 in Glasgow, MT. Passed away on June 28, 2017 following a brief illness. Preceded in death by mother Glenna Shumaker and brother Jim Shumaker. Survived by father Lowell Shumaker; sister Sandy Sutherin; niece and nephew Kelly and David Sutherin; step-daughter Michele (Shannon) Marcum; granddaughters Gracie and Maggie Musilli. Dear friend Jane Reida and special friend Roy Springer. She graduated from the Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, OH. She worked at Riverside Hospital and for the Ohio Gastro Group prior to her retirement. She was a long time member of Maple Grove UMC. Visitation will be held Friday July 7, 2017 from 5-7 pm at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOMES, 4341 N High St. Funeral service Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Maple Grove UMC, 7 W. Henderson Rd. A family graveside service will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery of Miami County. Donations may be made in her name to Maple Grove UMC.
