Paul Rinehart II

Paul “Skip” George Rinehart II passed away at age 69 on January 28, 2022, in Westerville, Ohio. He was born on August 26, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas to Paul and Kathleen Rinehart.

Paul is survived by his son Zach Rinehart (Corey), second wife Cate Rinehart and Cate’s children Holly Brown, Jason Tidwell, and JJ Tidwell. Grandkids Michael Viera, Lily Rinehart, and Macy Rinehart. Sibling Cindi Rinehart (Jim), sister-in-law Brenda Rinehart, and nieces and nephews Gil Rinehart (Samantha), Jenna Morgan (Mike), Jonathan Rinehart (Marci), Lincoln Rinehart, and Lucas Matteson.

He is preceded in death by older brother Dana “Buck” Rinehart and younger sister Jane Rinehart. Also by Skip’s first wife and Zach’s mother, Cheri Rinehart, who Skip remained good friends with over the years.

Skip graduated from Eastmoor High School. He had a retail video rental store, worked in IT and sales for security systems, and worked in various construction over the years. Skip left Columbus to live in Seattle, WA for almost 10 years and returned to Westerville.

When Zach was a child, they liked to do a lot of family camping, road trips, campfires, and outdoor adventures.  He liked to spend his happy hour after work at Jimmy’s Buckeye Lounge where he had some great friends. Skip had the gift of gab and was an excellent storyteller. He was a caring and passionate man willing to help anyone anytime. He was a believer in Christ, a Christian.
