Patricia Jones

Patricia Dolores Jones, 78, passed away on Monday, May 20. A long-time resident of Columbus and the Clintonville neighborhood, Patricia was born in New York City on May 2, 1946, and grew up on Long Island, New York. Patricia is survived by her loving sister Dolores, Putnam Valley NY; brothers Timothy, Albany NY;  and Nelson, Riverside CT; sister-in-law Laura (Nelson) and nieces Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Kathryn (Katie). She was predeceased by her parents Nelson and Dolores Jones and brother-in-law Eric Arctander (Dolores). A prayer reading and interment will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at 11:30 at Resurrection Cemetery in Lewis Center.

Patricia trained as a biologist and retired from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Natural Areas and Preserves. She graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego and obtained her Master’s and PhD degrees from the Ohio State University.

Patricia was a lifelong learner and was highly creative. She was an avid reader and enjoyed animals, gardening, baking, the outdoors and spending time with family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving sister and aunt.
