Patricia A. (Hoff) Click was born August 31, 1935 and raised in West Allis, Wisconsin. Longtime resident of Columbus and formerly of Cincinnati, passed away suddenly after a brief illness June 8, 2017. Survived by her daughters Jodi Click and Patti (Bruce) Ramsey; grandsons Michael Ramsey of Cincinnati and Wes Ramsey. Patricia began her career at Lazarus and worked at federated department stores where she was a trail blazer for women in retail security and all law enforcement. She obtained a degree in criminology from Columbus State and was a Franklin County Deputy Sheriff. She wrote retail criminal policies for federated department stores pertaining to theft and all types of forgery. Patricia also helped author Civil Recovery Legislation that is used by all retailors today. Her greatest love was her home, her family, and her garden. The past 25 years she has devoted her life to taking care of her disabled daughter Jodi. Donations can be made to Bernard Yavitch Attorney at Law, 592 S. Third St. Columbus, OH 43215 to help Jodi with continuing healthcare costs. At Patricia’s request there will be no services. She knew she lived a very blessed life and would like for everyone to remember her as she was.
